Reiki Practitioner and Teacher

A class in Reiki is the first step towards being able to provide Reiki to both yourself and your family. Reiki is an essential tool for reducing anxiety, relaxation, and promoting healing touch.

Due to the current world environment as a result of the COVID-19 virus, I am teaching Reiki I and II in groups of two, in local outdoor areas (seasonally dependent), or via online sessions.

As a certified Reiki Master, my goal is to help people relax and restore balance to their lives. Reiki is energy used as a balancing technique, allowing people to reduce stress, achieve relaxation, and promote healing. By attaining a state of relaxation, Reiki can have a positive effect on your entire physical, emotional, and mental state. Because of its numerous positive effects, Reiki has been used by hundreds of thousands of people around the world.

According to the Washington Post in 2014 “More than 60 U.S. hospitals have adopted Reiki as part of patient services, according to a UCLA study, and Reiki education is offered at 800 hospitals. The Healing Touch Professional Association estimates that more than 30,000 nurses in U.S. hospitals use touch practices every year.” Washington Post, May, 2014

These are a few ways Reiki can help YOU to::

  • Reduce stress and anxiety
  • Boost energy levels
  • Create a feeling of inner calm, contentment, and serenity
  • Provide better concentration or focus
  • Stimulate deep relaxation, contentment, and peace
  • Encourage better sleep
  • Increase awareness and mental acuity
  • Feel more positive, confident, and better able to cope
  • Better deal with stressful people and difficult situations
  • Develop a strong sense of purpose and clear-thinking
  • Remove some of the “clutter” from your life

REIKI CLASSES

Taking a class in Reiki is the first step towards being able to provide Reiki to both yourself and your family. Today Reiki is an essential tool for reducing anxiety, improving relaxation, and promoting healing touch. Originally from Japan, Reiki (pronounced “Rey-key”) is an energy balancing technique aiding in stress reduction and relaxation, while also promoting healing.

I am currently only providing Reiki to clients in the local area. I am frequently asked what a Reiki treatment is like. While receiving Reiki from a practitioner, the client lies on a treatment table as the practitioner gently lays their hands on the clients body in a series of hand positions on the head, torso, and legs. Commonly, the practitioners hands will also hover, in addition to touching. Through the course of the treatment, energy is drawn through the practitioner and into the recipient, helping to produce a state of balance. The client remains clothed throughout the entire session.
